I'll be in Bali in May for a conference happening in Ubud, "Quest for Global Healing". This will be my first time to Bali and I'd love any tips about beautiful sacred places to visit, prana-filled food to imbibe, and any thing else that you feel might be helpful or relevant.

Re: Bali in May
Tue, February 14, 2006 - 9:05 AMI really enjoyed Munduk. When I go back, I plan to spend much more time there. The hikes are incredible, the views are breath taking and the people are beyond amazing. We stayed at Puri Alum Bali hotel for 25.00 a night and it was awesome. I have some pics of it in my photos!
Also, if you are staying for any length of time it is good to get a driver. Our friend Dewa is awesome and very knowledgable about the area it's history and religion. His email is dwantara@yahoo.com
Peace

Wed, March 15, 2006 - 4:45 PMGlobal Healing Quest? Do you know who the promoter's are? Have spent much tyme in Bali....can recommend UBUD for a chill space to stay....A very opulent 2 story Vill Om overlooking the rice fields and just a hike to many temples was a mere 400USD / month...with meals and housekeeper...would have stayed on forever....May do so if thingz continue to fracture in this present politcal fear based paradigm...
Bali is TRUE~ly ancient and divine....The resonance will vibrate you right out of your crown chakra....Hold on to your HAT~~~

Wed, March 15, 2006 - 11:01 PMMake time for some spa time while in Bali! The healing hands of the Balinese and low prices make spas one of the best part of Bali. Bodyworks in Seminyak is cheap, clean, and authentic. Prana Spa (also in seminyak) is gorgeous, try their Ayurveda treatments like Shirodara and Abhyangam. "Chill" foot reflexology next door is truly the place to chill. Less than $15 for 90 minutes of absolute bliss. In Ubud, the spa at Maya Ubud is supposed to be great. I'm not sure what fruits will be in season in May, but if you see some mangosteens, try them! -
